What activities do you do to rest and recover?

What happens during the recovery period? The body is allowed to adapt to the stress associated with exercise, replenishes muscle glycogen (energy stores) and provides time for the body tissue to repair.

Take time to weave these into your Rest & Recovery plan.

  • Practice Self Care
  • Use relaxation exercises and/or practice meditation
  • Spend time with loved ones
  • Do at least one relaxing activity every day, whether it’s taking a walk or spending 30 minutes unwinding
